  25. EtherWave Adapter Firmware 1.2 helps adapters that lose contact with the network and need to be re–powered on occasion. It will also make the adapters more robust when attached to networks with misconfigured routers.

To update the firmware on your adapter plug the EtherWave Adapter into the Printer port of a Macintosh. Note, the Adapter Set Up should not be run from an AV or PowerMac machine. In the Network Control Panel set the machine to LocalTalk. Open Adapter Setup. You will get a message saying that the firmware will be updated. Select OK.
